I got this for my grade 2 French immersion class and the connection to our social studies unit on "me and my environment" is spot on. Each story ties into the house theme in a way the kids actually relate to.

The stories about daily life around the house really helped my child connect French vocabulary to their own environment—a nice blend of language and social studies.

The short stories made it easy to slide French reading into our social studies unit on community helpers. My daughter actually asked to reread the one about the family home, which never happens with her other French books.
