My son was genuinely curious about the maps showing La Vérendrye's routes through the West, and the storytelling held his attention well. A solid introduction to Canadian history for curious young minds.

The book's clear writing style made it easy for my daughter to follow La Vérendrye's routes across the West, and she loved tracing his journeys on the map. A solid, engaging read for curious young minds.

The writing is clear without talking down to kids, and my daughter actually asked to read the part about the western journeys again. It sparked a great conversation about early Canadian exploration.
