The photos of Maminata’s daily life are bright and engaging enough that my daughter flipped through twice on her own. Even for a beginner reader, the sentences are short and well-paced.

My five-year-old has been sounding out the Level 3 text on her own, and the colorful illustrations by Brigitte Gobeil really capture her attention. The 20-page length is perfect for her attention span before bed.

My daughter loved meeting Maminata in this book, and the real-world photos mixed with illustrations kept her attention from page one. The vocabulary is practical and builds naturally, which made reading it together feel like an adventure rather than a lesson.
