الدب الصغير

My 3-year-old asks for this one every night now, mostly because of the little backpack reveal at the end. The French is simple enough that I can read it aloud without stumbling, which is rare for kids' books.

The rainbow colour sequence is such a clever way to teach French colour names, and that backpack surprise at the end genuinely delighted my son. It's short enough for bedtime but has enough story to keep him asking for repeats.

My daughter giggled all the way through Paul's rainbow dressing session, and the surprise in the backpack genuinely caught her off guard. The French text is simple enough for her to follow along, and the color vocabulary practice is a nice bonus. We've read it three times tonight already.
