نستعد لفصل الشتاء

My grade 1 French immersion class loved the fall and animals science stories, and the social studies parts about my neighbourhood fit perfectly with our community unit. Everything is in French, which saved me a ton of translation prep.

The neighborhood mapping activities made my kids actually notice how their own street changes before snow comes—tied perfectly with the science of animal adaptation.

The animal hibernation stories gave my students a real understanding of how creatures prepare for cold weather. Paired with the neighbourhood mapping activity, it made the season feel tangible.
