يا له من عمل!

The career cards cover jobs my adult conversation class never had vocabulary for, like plombier and infirmière, and the descriptions are short enough to read aloud in one round. We played for a full hour without anyone reaching for a dictionary.

My students actually ask to play this, which never happens with vocabulary drills. The French job titles on the cards are specific enough that they pick up words like "plombier" and "infirmière" without realizing they're studying.

The career vocabulary cards turned my Friday conversation class into something the kids actually fight over. I like that each profession comes with description prompts, so even my shy students start forming full sentences in French.
