Leo K. ★★★★★

My kids and I read this together and the way the two sisters brainstorm different gift ideas felt so true to life. It sparked a sweet conversation about what we'd give my mom, and the story's length was perfect for a bedtime read.

Lily Q. ★★★★★

I really appreciated how this story gently explores compromise and family bonds. The way Maminata and Sokona each have different ideas about the gift made for great discussion with my kids. It's a thoughtful English resource for teaching young readers about cooperation.

Owen ★★★★★

My daughter and I really got into the debate between Maminata and Sokona while reading this together—it sparked such a great conversation about compromise. The story's simple but meaningful, perfect for early readers.
