L'estate

My summer vacation French practice usually fizzles out by July, but the science-themed stories here actually kept me reading. The health and relaxation pieces are short enough for a coffee break, and I've picked up vocabulary I'd never see in a textbook.

I picked this up to keep my French reading sharp over the break, and the short science pieces about summer were way easier to get through than a textbook. The health and relaxation stories gave me vocabulary I'd actually use on vacation.

The summer theme pulls double duty here, with stories split between relaxation and science, which kept me from getting bored. I read the health-focused ones on a lazy Sunday and the science pieces actually taught me a few things about heat and the body.
