聞いて、話してあげる

Used these story prompts with my adult conversation group and even the shy ones jumped in. The open-ended cards make it easy to build on each other's answers, so we filled a whole hour without a single awkward silence.

The prompt cards gave my quietest student something concrete to build a story around, and she actually volunteered to share first. I've been using it as a warm-up twice a week and the improv-style prompts keep the whole class talking in Spanish instead of defaulting to English.

My students used to freeze up during speaking practice, but the open-ended story starters got even my quietest kids volunteering to narrate. Works best if you give them a minute to jot ideas first, otherwise a few just repeat whatever the last person said.
