My son loved learning about Cody and seeing the Indigenous perspective through the illustrations. The 20 pages are just the right length for a bedtime story with real cultural content.

This is the first book in the series that actually gets my son asking questions about other cultures, and the illustrations by Brigitte Gobeil really pull him in. Cody's story is short enough to hold his attention but rich enough that we've already read it three times this week.

My 6-year-old is fascinated by the 20 pages of Cody's world, and the French vocabulary is perfect for our bilingual home. We’ve read it three times already, and she keeps asking about the Indigenous practices mentioned.
