My six-year-old loved learning about Cody's life in Canada through this French book, and the 20-page length was just right for a bedtime read. The kid-friendly vocabulary made it easy for her to practice her French without getting frustrated.

The illustrations by Brigitte Gobeil are stunning, and my daughter keeps flipping back to the page where Cody shares about his Indigenous heritage. It's a short 20-page read, but it sparked a real conversation about Canada that I didn't expect from a kids' book.

My six-year-old loved learning the French names for traditional Indigenous tools and clothing through Cody's story. The 20-page length was perfect for a bedtime read, and she pointed to the illustrations for a full ten minutes after we finished.
