De dieren van de dierentuin

My kids love pairing the zoo animal stories with our weekend trip to the wildlife park, and the social studies tie-in about family and jobs made the learning feel natural. The science facts about each animal kept them asking questions long after storytime ended.

The zoo animal theme hit the sweet spot for my kids—they loved learning facts about animals while the family and neighbourhood connections sparked real conversations. The French vocabulary stuck much faster than I expected because every story tied back to something they already knew.

My kid actually learned the difference between a zebra and a horse from the family section—finally, a storybook that teaches real science concepts. The neighborhood connections are a nice bonus for our weekly walks.
