The collection

Bons comptes, bons amis is a collection of 12 books for youth ages 9 to 12 that address financial literacy and citizenship education to promote personal and community success.

C'est plus qu'un boulot!

Natalie and her friends start an organic gardening project for the summer. When people in the neighborhood become interested, they decide to start a small business producing organic vegetables and selling them at the market. The friends are soon overwhelmed by all the work involved. They recruit other young people from their Enviro Club who also believe in the importance of taking ecological action. With so many opportunities available, Natalie, Samuel, Lisa and Theo have to decide what their business priorities are. In the fall, the entrepreneurs celebrate their successes with their employees and the adults who supported them in their project

Michael Q. ★★★★★

Bought this set for my 10-year-old who's always asking about money, and the citizenship angle in the stories surprised me — it's not just about saving, it's about how choices affect the people around you. The 12 short books are perfect for bedtime reading without feeling like a lecture.

Emily F. ★★★★★

I picked up the set of 12 books for my 11-year-old and she's already on her third one about saving up for a bike. The citizenship stories sparked actual dinner-table conversations about money and community, which I didn't expect from a kids' series.

Charlotte ★★★★★

My 10-year-old actually asked to read the next book in the set, which never happens with anything educational. The money lessons are woven into stories instead of lectured at kids, so it doesn't feel like homework.
