My students were so engaged playing the Go Fish style game that they didn't even realize they were drilling the past tense of "ir" with different transport vocabulary. The cards are sturdy enough for small hands, too.

I was pleasantly surprised how well the past tense "ir" verb cards reinforce the vocabulary—my kids argued over who got to fish for the "fui" card first. The game kept them engaged for a solid twenty minutes, which is rare for any learning tool around here.
