The need versus want lesson actually landed with my four-year-old, which I wasn't expecting from a shopping story. We've read it three nights in a row now and he keeps asking why Paul can't just get both.

This story taught my child the difference between needs and wants in a fun, relatable way. He now loves pointing out needs versus wants during our own shopping trips!

My 4-year-old actually asks for this one at bedtime now, which never happens with his other books. The English text makes it easy for me to read aloud, and he's started pointing at things in the store asking if we need them or just want them.
