The illustrations by Brigitte Gobeil are just gorgeous, and the 20 pages feel substantial enough for a bedtime read. Cody's story is a lovely way to introduce Canadian Indigenous culture to my kids without it feeling like a lesson.

My six-year-old loved learning about Cody's life through the simple text and bright pictures—the 20 pages were just right for his attention span. A great way to introduce Indigenous culture in French.

The illustrations of Brigitte Gobeil really bring Cody’s world to life on each of the 20 pages. It’s a thoughtful way to introduce young readers to an Indigenous perspective through simple, clear French text.
